Micro ear Surgery
The structures of the ear are very small. Thus, surgery is usually performed with an operating microscope. The microscope enlarges the view of the ear structures sufficiently so the surgeon can perform the delicate tasks needed. "OTO" is the Greek word=root for "ear"
Therefore, microsurgery of the ear is often called, "Otomicrosurgery" or "Otologic" surgery. Specialists who perform ear surgery are called "Otologists". A stapedectomy is an example of an ear operation performed entirely within the view of an operating microscope.
Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is a surgical treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyps, including bacterial, fungal, recurrent acute, and chronic sinus problems. FESS uses nasal endoscopes to restore drainage of the paranasal sinuses and ventilation of the nasal cavity.
Micro Laryngeal Surgery
Microscopic voice surgery, otherwise known as microlaryngeal surgery, is a minimally invasive procedure used to correct voice disorders, speaking or breathing difficulties or other problems affecting the larynx. The larynx is located in the front of the neck and helps us breathe, swallow and speak as it controls the opening and closing of the windpipe. The larynx is also where the vocal cords are found. Microscopic voice surgery may be determined to be the best course of treatment after diagnostic testing and examinations have discovered the source of a persistent cough, hoarseness or various voice problems.

Surgery is also an option for the treatment of hyperthyroidism (Grave’s disease or a “toxic nodule”, for large and multinodular goiters and for any goiter that may be causing symptoms.
Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a minimally invasive, diagnostic medical procedure. It is used to examine the interior surfaces of an organ or tissue and allows visualization of body cavities not possible by standard examination. The nasal endoscope is a medical device consisting of a thin, rigid tube with fiberoptic cables for bringing in light. The endoscope is then connected to a light source and a video camera to project magnified images on a screen. These endoscopic images can be captured and recorded for documentation for each patient.
Video laryngoscopy is a form of indirect laryngoscopy in which the clinician does not directly view the larynx. Instead, visualization of the larynx is performed with a fiberoptic or digital laryngoscope inserted transnasally or transorally. The images from video laryngoscopy can be displayed on a monitor for the clinician, patient, and others to view at the time of the procedure; it can also be recorded. Images are magnified when displayed on the monitor, allowing for detailed examination of the larynx. Video laryngoscopy is the premise of fiberoptic intubation.
